It is at precisely the same time, however, that you will also need to decelerate to a stop in reverse. Again, the deceleration reduces steering capability. When approaching the dock, you are going to have to rely on the momentum of the boat to get you over this obstacle.

Momentum and speed, however, are not the same thing. Momentum is simply the forward motion of the boat that will actually carry you into the dock. You will need just enough momentum to get into the dock and that will allow you to smoothly make the shift to reverse so you can stop. Once you’ve actually mastered this task, you’ll probably agree that the best docking techniques in boating were the ones that you learned by trial and error. None of the docking techniques you’ll read will ever be a better teacher than practice, practice, practice.

The best advice that one could ever receive when looking for information on the best docking techniques in boating would be to take it slow, don’t get nervous or discouraged and most importantly, remember that every time you try it, will make it a little easier the next time.

You may find that someone else interprets

You may find that someone else interprets what you have written in a totally different way than you intended. Adjust and rewrite until the descriptions are clear and convey your assets accurately and unequivocally.

3. Map out your campaign.

Any successful venture requires some planning and forethought. You may pride yourself on your spontaneity and your ability to just “dive in” but job searches are becoming longer and more frustrating than ever and you need to pace yourself to conserve energy, motivation, and enthusiasm.

Start with establishing some kind of immediate routine. It doesn’t have to be a stringent undertaking although if you are a very structured individual you can make it as detailed as you like.

At least make a schedule of when you will be pursuing classified ads, the days you may visit agencies or job fairs, the evenings or early mornings when you will check out all appropriate job hotlines. Allow plenty of time for calling your contacts and build in time for both yourself and your family life.

Decide what time to get up and follow the early morning routine that was your custom when working. You may think it’s stupid to shower, shave, brush your teeth, put on makeup, and dress when your plans for the day call for strictly telephone work.

Believe me, you sound different and project yourself better when you are in a business versus a casual mode.

How I think, governs

How I think, governs how happy, content or joyful I will be. It really is that simple.

I am human and the more I accept that, the better life gets.

All humans get frustrated, angry or sad, including the Dali Lama and Oprah. So becoming true friends with the world and myself, means accepting my warts and not always trying to change them. Love, kindness and acceptance towards myself are the greatness gift to myself and will radiate out to the rest of the world.

Life isn’t permanent.

It will eventually end for everything including the grass, trees, and animals including you. Once you are born don’t you immediately start dying? Life is fleeting. Life is precious. Use it well.

What are my three biggest discoveries?

My happiness lies in my own head.

Being loving and kind to myself is my own greatest gift.

Life isn’t permanent.

Stolen cars lead to local man; Four N.Y. vehicles sold in city

0 Comments | Telegram & Gazette (Worcester, MA), Sept 19, 2008

Byline: Scott J. Croteau

WORCESTER – A city man remains under investigation by state police after he was charged earlier this week with selling four cars – all reported stolen in New York – to different people in the city.

Jose Martinez, 34, of 2A Douglas St., was charged Monday in Central District Court with four counts of receiving a stolen motor vehicle and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle title. He was released on personal recognizance.

According to a court report written by state police Sgt. William Snee, on Sept. 9 state police assigned to the governor’s auto theft strike force were notified by a special agent from the National Insurance Crime Bureau that a city man had tried to register a 2007 Acura.

The Acura had been reported stolen in New York City in May. Authorities learned Mr. Martinez had registered and obtained a title for the car in his name in Massachusetts by using a phony New York title, the report said.

Mr. Martinez allegedly sold the car to a city man for $6,000. The man paid Mr. Martinez $3,500 in cash and agreed to make payments to Mr. Martinez for the remainder, the report said.

State police found that a 2006 Volkswagen Passat registered to a city woman had also been reported stolen in New York City. The theft was still an active case. Investigators said Mr. Martinez used a fake New York title to register that car in his name and then sold it to the city woman for $6,000.

Mr. Martinez allegedly sold two other vehicles – also for $6,000 apiece – to two other city residents. One of the cars was sold to his niece, according to court records. Both cars were also allegedly registered in Mr. Martinez’s name in Massachusetts, and in each case he allegedly used phony New York titles.

State police met with Mr. Martinez on Monday in the area of Park and Chandler streets after he agreed to meet with them and discuss the Acura. He “would only relate that he traveled to New York quite a bit and a man by the name of Jose would sell him cars,” the report said.

“Mr. Martinez further related he did not know how to contact Jose or his last name,” Sgt

Some include a separate piece of leather that is to be found on the toe of the shoe (or the “cap toe”). Sometimes this piece of leather is plain and other times it is decorated with leather embroidery (also refined as brogueing).

Genuine leather shoes are the only way to go if you are in the market for a pair of oxfords. And black is the color to go with because all black leather oxford style shoes, regardless of the style of leather finish or structural design will complement business attire. The most formal of all men’s dress shoes are the black leather close laced oxfords (Balmorals).

Art Linkletter never said that. He and Bill Cosby co-hosted a show called

Kids Say the Darndest Things.

I was absolutely wrong. But I must be the inventor of ?Kids do amazing things.?

I did find that cowboys can do amazing things at http://www.bookreviewclub.com/childrens/stuart_cowboys.shtml but we are not talking about cowboys.

With those diversions, let me get to the point. The point is this:

Kids can do things that we old folks can?t do.

It?s not really fare is it? When you get older you should be able to do more things because of your years of practice.

Here are some examples of things my grandkids and other kids can do and the things we old folks do instead:

Kids: Run, skip, jump, do cartwheels, stand on their heads.

Old: Walk with a cane, watch cloud formations.

Kids: Learn to speak Italian, French, Mogollon, and Chinese before they are two years old.

Old: Eat at Italian, French, Mogollon, and Chinese restaurants.

Two heart patients get RM40,000

0 Comments | New Straits Times, Sep 4, 2010

KUALA LUMPUR: Two Malaysian children received timely intervention from American International Assurance Bhd when the insurance company contributed RM40,000 for their life-saving surgeries at the National Heart Institute (IJN).

AIA Bhd chief executive officer Khor Hock Seng said the contribution from their AIA Have-A-Heart-Fund (AIA-HAHF) would be channeled to the IJN foundation for the treatment of 6-year-old Muhammad Darwisy Abu Bakar and 2-year-old Dayang Alia Maysarah Muallam for their respective congenital heart ailments at IJN.

The cheque was handed over yesterday by Khor to IJN foundation general manager Alawiyah Yusoff.

“We believe that nothing is as precious as the gift of life, especially when it concerns young children with serious health problems who are unable to seek the required medical attention due to financial difficulties.”

Khor added that the contribution was a long-term corporate responsibility initiative by AIA Bhd and was made possible mainly through the support of AIA Bhd’s dedicated agency force which had been contributing RM1 from their commission for every life insurance policy sold since the fund’s inception in 1998.

Aside from giving aid to the two needy children, AIA Bhd also distributed Hari Raya goodie bags and duit raya to patients at IJN’s pediatric ward.

You?re probably not a sprinter now, and if you went out and followed their regimen, tomorrow you?d be insanely sore and probably give up exercising altogether.

Let?s consider, for a moment, these creatures (sprinters). They only move rapidly for about 10 to 60 seconds at most, during a single sprint. Well, that isn?t very much time, if you compare it to long-distance runners, who run for three to four hours, without stopping.

So if long-distance runners are active for much longer periods of time, why do sprinters have more attractive bodies?

The reason is this: sprinters maximally contract their muscles, which requires a lot more work from their bodies than a slow, staggered, constant run.
